About LGM Engineering
LGM Engineering is today a leading supplier of marine fuel systems for ships powered by environmentally friendly fuels such as LNG, ammonia and methanol. Our goal is to contribute to reducing shipping’s environmental and climate impact by offering environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions. We are specialized in three main areas; Fuel systems for ships, LNG systems for bunker ships and cargo handling systems for Gas Carriers such as; LPG, Ethylene, ammonia and LCO2 carriers. Our head-office is located in Dalian in China where we have technical development and production. Our European office is located in Kungsbacka, Sweden, and is responsible for sales, technical advice and service of the systems on the European market.
The position
Our market is undergoing very strong growth and we are now looking for a service engineer to join our team in our office in Kungsbacka. We believe you have some experience from working as engineer on ships or have worked as service engineer within the marine industry. As a service engineer, you will be responsible for service and support of our delivered systems and have a close collaboration with our technical department. You will also be involved in ongoing new-building projects.
We are looking for;
• A positive and self-driven person who enjoys working independently as well as working in a team,
• who has relevant professional experience in shipping. Previous experiences of working with LNG or other cryogenic gases are meritorious.
• A structured and handy person with the ability to plan and organize the execution of service work and
• has good communication skills and enjoy meeting new people.
Education and experience;
• We believe you are a Marine Engineer or have similar relevant technical university degree and experience.
• Have experience of automation as well as electrical and mechanical work.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills
• Driving license is a requirement.
In shipping quick support is often required, which is why it is important that you are flexible and able to travel at relatively short notice. We estimate the number of travel days to be around 80 days per year.
