NORDEN is one of the largest and most active dry cargo operators in the shipping industry. We are looking for an Operations Manager who operates and ensures voyage optimisation while taking on a customer-centric mindset through your outgoing nature.
As an Operations Manager in NORDEN, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth operation of vessels.
You will be based in our office in Stockholm, Sweden.
What is in it for you
You will be responsible for the operation of vessels in various areas. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Voyage planning and execution: Plan the vessel’s voyage, ordering materials, bunkers and updating itineraries ensuring optimal vessel performance and adherence to schedules.
- Cargo operations: Oversee cargo operations, including loading and unloading processes, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor vessel performance and operational efficiency, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Stakeholder communication: Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders, including agents, owners, vessels, charterers and other internal stakeholders.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant.
- Problem-solving: Address operational challenges promptly and effectively.

Your competences and core qualifications

Being part of a smaller team; you are collaborative, trustworthy and enthusiastic. You are focused on quality work and overall team development. You should be trusted, work independent and maintain ownership over your fleet of vessels, projects, and assignments.
Besides this you hold:
- 1-4 years experience as a Vessel Operator with preference in MultiPurpose/Projects
- A good understanding of IT systems. IMOS and SEDNA experience would be an asset.
- Familiarity with project cargo, unitised cargo and liner terms.
- Understanding of market practices and charter party terms.
- Fluent in English and one Nordic language. Additional language is an advantage.
- Eligible to work in Sweden.
