Class Surveyor Sweden (Home based between Karlstad & Orebro)
Do you have a mechanical or marine engineering background and are interested in the marine industry? We are recruiting for a Class Surveyor to work with marine vendors surveying the work being completed in their workshops and ship surveys.
If successful you will be surveying components and machinery in accordance with Classification Rules, you will be issuing survey reports, and work directly with clients to identify and resolve problems in your area of technical expertise.
Many of our vendors are based in the middle of Sweden, in the vicinity of Karlstad and Orebro. We would prefer to hear from candidates who can easily commute to both locations. If this is not feasible, you can be based out of our Gothenburg office in Western Sweden.
Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:
- A degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or marine engineering
- Fluency in English language is essential
- Ability to read engineering plans
- Knowledge of engineering systems and machinery.
- Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, pertinent information relative to assigned area of technical expertise.
