Wisby Tankers was founded in the first year of the new millennium and is still owned and managed by the founders. All with a genuine shipping experience and highly involved in the daily operation of our 13 tank vessels.
We have the traditional functions of a shipping company in-house, such as ownership, technical management and crewing, HSE-function, ship operation, project development and construction site supervision and our office is located in Lidköping, Sweden.
We are a flat and modern organization with clearly defined areas of responsibilities, and we keep a close and direct relation to our vessels, our crew, our customers, and our partners.
Through our close management we have been able to improve our way of tanker shipping and adapt to particular requirements. We can ensure our customers and partners a safe and efficient transport of cargoes with high environmental values.
We have developed and built our own vessels, meeting the needs of our customers and partners. During the years we have established close relations with strong partners and there is more to come – Our passion is shipping.
We are currently employing a Chief Officer with experience of handling chemical cargoes for our vessel Wisby Pacific. The vessel operates World Wide with clean petroleum products and chemicals, including veg-oils.
Temporary employment of 10-12 weeks. Joining is planned for the 17th of May. There is possibility of further work if all goes well.
Swedish agreement with SBF. The vessel is under Swedish flag.
According to agreement with SBF. Leave days are accrued at a rate of one day per day onboard. Insurances and pension in addition.
Merits and certification
You have experience of handling Annex I and Annex II cargoes, including tank cleaning, at a management level. Experience of the MR-segment is a plus but not a requirement. Your English is good, in speech and in writing.
You have the following Swedish documents with an expiry date not earlier than September 2021.
- License as Chief Officer (or Master), unrestricted in trade area and vessel size
- Advanced training for oil tanker cargo operations
- Advanced training for chemical tanker cargo operations
- GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate
- Basic Safety
- Advanced Firefighting
- Ship Security Officer or Designated security duties
- ECDIS – general training according to IMO model course 1.27
- Proficiency in survival crafts and rescue boats (not FRB)
- Medical Care
- Medical first aid
- Safety Officer
- Swedish medical certificate
- Seaman’s discharge book
- US visa
- Yellow fever vaccination card
- ECDIS – specific training for Furuno FMD 3200 (not a requirement – CBT training can be arranged before joining)
