Wisby Tankers was founded in the first year of the new millennium and is still owned and managed by the founders. All with a genuine shipping experience and highly involved in the daily operation of our 14 tank vessels.
We have the traditional functions of a shipping company in-house, such as ownership, technical management and crewing, HSE-function, ship operation, project development and construction site supervision and our office is located in Lidköping, Sweden.
We are a flat and modern organization with clearly defined areas of responsibilities, and we keep a close and direct relation to our vessels, our crew, our customers, and our partners.
Through our close management we have been able to improve our way of tanker shipping and adapt to particular requirements. We can ensure our customers and partners a safe and efficient transport of cargoes with high environmental values.
We have developed and built our own vessels, meeting the needs of our customers and partners. During the years we have established close relations with strong partners and there is more to come – Our passion is shipping.
We have an opening for Chief officer position on our latest addition in our fleet, Atlantic Orchard. She was during 2019-2020 under our management converted into a Juice carrier and is now starting her 15-year charter carrying orange juice for one of our partners between Santos, Brazil and Gent, Belgium.
We are looking for a well experienced Chief Officer, technically interested and with good experience of computerized cargo handling systems. If you have knowledge of refrigerated cargo it is an advantage, but it is not a necessary requirement.
It is important for us that you are looking for a long-term permanent employment where you can grow and develop further in your career together with us and our crew onboard.
In order to be relevant for the employment you must already hold all required certificates for the position and a valid medical certificate for seafarers that are not older than one year.
You will be employed on INT agreement with 10-12 weeks onboard on a 1/1 system rotating with a steady reliever.
Since the vessel trade might not comply with Swedish tax regulation of 183 days it is preferable that you are not taxable in Sweden.
The recruitment process for this position is ongoing so don’t wait to send in your application (personal letter including date when you are available for employment and a CV including Sea service time and list of valid certificates) to [email protected] if you are interested in working with us in the future.
