We offer a role where you together with the team support and manage projects within the maritime sector. As a Naval Architect, you will be the technical lead for projects that supports Stena’s business areas, including design and construction, innovating and implementing energy saving and emission reducing solutions. You will also offer technical support for maintaining and improving the existing Stena fleet.
You will represent Stena Teknik in international work groups and have close cooperation and communication with various Stena business units. Your contribution, based on your developing expertise and skills, will be crucial in these interactions. You will be tasked with keeping track of changes in environmental and safety regulations, as well as advancements in technology, with the aim of suggesting improvements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
About you
We are looking for someone with a MSc degree in Naval Architecture who has two to five years of working experience within the field. You are aware of relevant rules & regulations, standards and have experience from working in an international environment with an ability to express yourself in English, both verbally and written. Personal qualities include collaborative abilities, a practical as well as a theoretical interest, curiosity and a development-oriented mindset.
Experience from stability assessment, NAPA, AutoCad and project management within the shipping industry is a merit.
