We are looking to employ a HSEQ Engineer to our office in Gothenburg who is interested to work in an international and challenging environment. For this role you need to be social, open minded, structured and well organised.
We believe that a suitable candidate is someone who has recently graduated from an Engineering (Mechanical/Naval) or Nautical Education, or someone with similar experience from another industry that is looking to gain experience within the maritime & oil and gas industry.
The HSEQ Engineer reports to the HSEQ Manager and your main tasks are to develop and maintain our management system for ISM, ISPS, ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
We are offering a stimulating position where you work fleet wide, which means working with all our vessels and have the opportunity to be a key player in improving the management system. The person we are looking for enjoys working in an entrepreneurial and changeable environment where the employees are encouraged to take their own decisions. Some travelling will be necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise and assist on all aspects of the management system.
- Review and quality control the Management System Documents.
- Coordinate, develop, maintain and implement the Quality Management System and continually improve its effectiveness.
- Monitor and report progress of Non Conformities, Findings and Suggestions as well as support responsible persons in the handling process.
- Schedule, plan, perform, report and follow up Internal Management System Audits.
- Coordinate activities related to internal and external Audits.
Qualifications
- Engineering (Mechanical/Naval) or Nautical Education or similar.
- Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with word processing in Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Able to interact and communicate well with all levels of management and personnel including clients and authorities
