Wallenius Marine is looking for a a driven and detail-oriented Junior Quality & Technical Coordinator for permanent employment to join our team at our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. 

You will play an important part in developing and strengthening our quality processes. In this role, you will work close to both shore-based teams and vessels, contributing to safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The position is full-time and requires, at times, travel to vessels. We offer you the opportunity to work remotely to some extent. 

Your main responsibilities will be:
• Supporting and strengthening the company’s quality work and follow up on deviations and improvement actions, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and translated into continuous improvements. 
• Involve collecting, reviewing, and updating technical documentation, as well as ensuring that all documents and processes comply with applicable standards and internal procedures.
• Actively participate in internal audits and quality controls, both in the planning phase and in execution, which means occasional travel at short notice is required.
• Responsible for following up on quality data and compiling reports to support decision-making. 
• Administering and maintaining the company’s quality and management systems.
• Work hands-on with systems such as SAFIR, performing root cause analyses, driving corrective and preventive actions, communicating with vessels, and closing reports. 
• Manage ship-specific documentation such as garbage manuals and be responsible for the chemical management process in iChemistry, ensuring that the system is continuously updated with approved and relevant chemicals. 
• Be involved in areas such as biofouling and regulatory compliance.
• Close collaboration with vessels, where you will conduct training sessions via Teams, including general SAFIR training for crew members.
• Follow up on inspection reports from Port State Control (PSC), as well as class and flag state reports, and contribute to management reviews conducted twice per year. 

Who are you?
We are looking for a person holding a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, and we believe you have hands-on experience from working in shipping industry, preferably with a few years at sea.

You have a strong administrative mindset, work in a structured and accurate way, and have a basic understanding of quality management and technical documentation. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in both written and spoken form, and are comfortable working in Microsoft Office. You are open to working with and developing AI-driven solutions as part of continuous improvement. Experience working with quality standards such as ISO 9001, as well as ERP systems or quality management systems, is considered a strong advantage.

You take initiative, show a strong sense of ownership, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality in your work.
