As an Estimator your primary responsibility is to provide customized quotes for repair, maintenance and conversion of vessels. You are the “spider in the web” to obtain competitive quotes. You will be a part of the commercial department, managed by Head of Marketing and Sales.
Tasks Responsibilities
- Estimate and produce quotes on everything from small repairs to more complete;
- Inspections of vessels may involve traveling within Sweden and abroad;
- Request quotes from subcontractors and suppliers of materials in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager;
- During the negotiations for potential projects be a resource for the commercial department and also be a resource for the project team during the project.
Profile
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of ship-repair/-building or mechanical engineering;
- Knowledge of materials, steel constructions and processing machines used in ship-repair;
- Communicative and customer- and service orientated;
- Organized and structured;
- Quality oriented and focused on details;
- Technical background;
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language, both verbally and in writing.

Damen Shiprepair Gotaverken is one of the operating units of the Damen Shiprepair and Conversion Group and based in Gothenburg, Sweden. We do ship-repairs and conversions with two floating dry-docks and approximately 1.000 meters of repair quay.
